Why do you think Luther has become the BBC's top rating Police drama?
I think that Luther is the top rated police drama actor, as he can portray anger, frustration, happiness and overall emotion extremely realistic like nobody in the world can. His investigations skills are very realistic, as even though he is a smart cop he struggles outside and he expresses that very well.

How is the story in the pilot episode compelling?
The first episode of Luther, is compelling in many different ways. Its action-packed, intense and relationships build up. Luther is a violent, angry person who is lost in the world. The women who murdered her parents attempted to build a relationship with Luther in order to stop him from investigating her. Although Luther is intelligent and smart in his job, outside his job he is lost and confused, we find that him losing his wife as she is cheating on him is difficult to take it. Therefore, making it compelling.
